Products from Benecke-Kaliko – such as Acella® Eco soft trim material – are prime examples of the company’s promise to the consumer’s health and the environment.

With In-vehicle air quality and exposure to allergens issues of rising importance, Acella® Eco soft trim material features key attributes such as contact allergen free, Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Certification (Class 1), low-emission, and freedom of heavy metals and antimony. Acella® Eco also is an integral part of the interior of the Volvo XC60 that recently was added to the list of allergy-safe cars (Swedish Asthma and Allergy Association).

Other Benecke-Kaliko products – such as Tepeo® and Tepeo 2® – reduce up to 50 percent off the weight of comparable products, thus cutting fuel consumption and harmful emissions. The company’s new plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, currently produces this product and Benecke-Kaliko’s tough standards from Germany now prevail in the demanding NAFTA market. This is evidenced by positive recognition from Mercedes-Benz during its recent Supplier Candidate Source Evaluation of the new facility.
