Environmental protection and industrial safety

Since November 11, 1996, Benecke-Kaliko AG has been listed in the European directory of companies voluntarily participating in a joint environmental management and environmental auditing system in accordance with the respective EU regulation.

Ours is one of the first companies listed in the directory on the basis of comprehensive inspections by experts and public authorities.

Since March 27, 1998, we have, moreover, been certified in accordance with the DIN EN 14001 standard "Environmental management systems".

We have thus been active in environmental protection for several years now and regularly have our environmental performance evaluated by an independent and certified reviewer.

DFor us, protecting our workforce is just as important as protecting the environment. To exclude any possible goal conflicts between the two, we have integrated environmental protection and industrial safety into one management system. Thanks to our holistic approach, both pollution from our plants and accidents at our plants continue to decline. This is a matter of no little pride to us.

It is our wish that the present environmental statement will stimulate an open exchange on the part of our workforce, neighbours, customers, suppliers, the relevant public authorities and all groups in society and that this exchange will provide the impetus for further improvement.
